Match Report
Culford School 1st VII vs  The Leys School
On: Saturday, 19 Jan 2019
Venue: Away

An extremely tight and well contested game today against The Leys. The possession and leading team was consistently changing from the first whistle, taking it down to the final few minutes of the match. At quarter time it was 9 - 9 and Culford went out strong as they returned to the court. With a change in line up within the centre court, Culford drove the ball through from defence to attack, making use of some exceptionally well timed moves and strong passing to take the lead 16-14 at half time. Culford's attacking third worked much smoother this week and Lucy Flynn was key in driving out and creating space in the shooting circle as well as her consistency when putting up shots at goal.

However, Culford made some unforced errors after some crucial interceptions, whilst The Leys remained calm under pressure, this allowed them back into the game and to take the win 30-34 at the final whistle.

Coaches MVP: Lucy Flynn
