Match Report
Taunton School 1st XV vs  Colston's School
On: Saturday, 06 Oct 2018
Venue: at Home

Coming off our convincing victory over QEH we knew that Colstons would be a whole new kettle of fish. Knowing they had some strike runners who would need to put down early, to stop them causing trouble for us throughout the game. The first half was a game of cat and mouse switching between the two teams for who attacked and defender regularly. However Taunton were the first to get on the score board with minutes to go until the half a spree of well angled pick and goes from the base of the ruck took Taunton and George Perry over the Colstons line. The second half brought the same try for our other prop Alex G-T who in fashion with George scored from a pick and go. After this the flood gates opened with Taunton non-stop bombarding Colstons with tries from Finlay Boarder who showed true grit and determination to get his first try in a long time even tape over his forehead and eye from a midweek training accident. Tom Walsh with a great pick up and Dan Irons with a slippery run through the Colstons defence to score in the corner. All topped off with successful kicks from Tom Walsh and James Doble. The whole team thanks all the supporters who came out and watched the match in cold conditions and we hope to replicate our victory against Dean Close this coming weekend.
