Match Report
Dollar Academy Boys-1st XV vs  High School of Dundee
On: Saturday, 23 Sep 2017
Venue: Away

The 1st XV proved far too strong in this one sided encounter with the High School of Dundee, amassing an unanswered 60 points before half time.

The Dollar side dominated every area of play and were ruthless in their execution scoring 10 tries along the way.

Scoring the tries were Reece McAllister (2), Gus Warr (2),Jamie Cruicksank, Danny Robins and Amo Citro. Finn McIlwraith also bagged a fine treble and Lachlan Kelly was ever reliable with the boot.

By half time, Mr Caskie had seen enough and replaced the whole of the team with the 2nd XV. Although only playing half a game, it was a worthwhile exercise in preparation for the busy week ahead, with a cup game on Wednesday against Musselburgh Grammar School, followed by a mouth-watering fixture against Stewart's Melville College in the Conference on Saturday.

Now it was the turn of the 2nd XV to try their hand against 1st XV opposition. This was a great opportunity for those playing to put their hands up and push for a 1st XV spot and be seen like for like. They did not disappoint and battled to a fine 21-17 win (full match report to follow on 2nd XV page).
