Match Report
Dartford Grammar School 1st XV vs  Langley Park Boys School
On: Wednesday, 28 Sep 2005
Venue: Away

After Langley Park had beaten Ravens Wood and St. Olaves, it looked like this game was going to be the decider. The game was close with both teams knowing how important it was to win. Both sides made some fierce tackles and both sides showed the highest level of commitment. Dartford took the lead as Mike McDonough kicked a loose ball forward and ran on to recover the ball and score under the posts. Dartford did a good job of retaining the ball an looked the more dangerous but Langley Park pulled themselves back into the game as they ran in an interception for a try; the try came just before half time and left the score all even at the break, 7-7.

Dartford settled their nerves before coming out for the second half and made ball retention their focus. Two strong hand-offs by Joe Bowmer resulted in a second Dartford try and sealed the victory. A hard fought and well deserved victory for Dartford meant they were almost definitely champions.

Final Score: Dartford GS 14-7 Langley Park
