Match Report
Bloxham School 1st XV vs  Langley School
On: Wednesday, 28 Nov 2018
Venue: Away

Bloxham progressed to the quarter finals of the Plate with a good away win at Langley School by 43 points to 7. The side did well to slot into their rhythm so quickly after a four and a half hour coach journey to the game. Alfie Barbeary scored a hat-trick, while Dan Eckersley sealed a man of the match performance with an excellent try of his own. Captain Toby Staveley Parker added a try and five conversions, and James Boardman snatched a great individual score from a hack ahead. The foundation of the side’s victory was a great defensive display just before half time, when they held out against sustained Langley pressure on the Bloxham line despite being down to 13 men for the last five minutes of the half. They then got into the opposition half and forces a penalty which was coolly put over by Henry Hopkins.
