Match Report
Bloxham School 1st XI vs  Warwick School
On: Saturday, 11 May 2019
Venue: Away

This Saturday, the 1st XI faced a good Warwick side in a T20.

After a slight delay to the start of the game due to rain, Warwick were put into bat by Bloxham. A really good opening spell from Ben SP and followed up from the other bowlers helping keep the Warwick run rate around 4.5 per over for the first 7 overs. Toby SP and Ben S produced good spells to take wickets and Warwick got to 119-7 off their 20 overs.

Bloxham, again, started slowly in their run chase and it built pressure on themsevles and led to being 31-2 off 7 overs. Bloxham's middle order of Harri B and Charlie D (24 off 24) put on a good partnership before Harri was caught and bowled. B SP (28 off 27) came in and carried on the momentum but the run rate just couldn't be managed and left Bloxham 13 runs short at the end.

A much better performance shown in this game with lots of positives, as we move into the latter part of the first half of the season.
