Match Report
Berkhamsted School Boys-U15A vs  King's College School (KCS), Wimbledon
On: Saturday, 27 Sep 2014
Venue: at Home

It was another good performance from the U15A team and it was pleasing to see that progress is being made from what we were practicing earlier in the week.

Things started off on a positive note with Lewis taking a well taken try out wide after some good phase play in the KCS half. Another quickly followed and again it was Lewis who ended up scoring 3 before halftime again for the fourth game in a row. Credit must then go to KCS who were very competitive at the break down throughout the game who forced a first penalty to them just outside of our 22 metre. In being slow to react and some excellent quick thinking from the KCS captain a quick tap and cruising over our try line unopposed, breaking our deadlock of not letting in a try this season to date. Our heads dropped and it was clear we were disappointed in ourselves letting in such an easy try! To their character Berkhamsted came right back at KCS with more venom than before. Smart really began to control the game kicking very well out of hand and Harris managed to score an excellent individual try in the far corner to re balance the deficit. It was then one way traffic with Dotting scoring two very powerful tries, and one coming from each of Munday and Ormerod.

Overall it was a fine performance, but we must ensure that we don’t allow any silly mistakes occur as that could be the difference in a tighter match.
