Match Report
Reading Blue Coat School 1st XV vs  Aylesbury Grammar School
On: Saturday, 30 Sep 2017
Venue: at Home

The first of our Daily Mail Trophy Schools fixture against a tough Aylesbury team. We put ourselves under pressure by falling off tackles and letting Aylesbury run at us. However, despite falling off tackles, Paddy Spears steadied the ship at full back, making many try saving tackles to keep the score to just 0-7 to Aylesbury. The second half kicked off with a spirited and man of the match performance by Henry Heath, who got the fire in Blue Coats belly rumbling, showing spirited attacking flair and much improved tackling. Josh Smart, Christian Scott with a try each and James Rogers again with two tries. Will Dexter was kicking conversions with his eyes closed with 4 to his name, the final score was 28-7 to Blue Coat.

Man of the match: Henry Heath

Scores: Josh Smart, Christian Scott and James Rogers x2

The result puts us in the top 10 (8th) of the Daily Mail Trophy Merit Table (out of 106 schools across the country).
