Match Report
Reading Blue Coat School Boys-U13B vs  St George's College, Weybridge
On: Saturday, 28 Nov 2015
Venue: at Home

A fantastic end to an unbeaten season winning 52-0. The boys played very well linking between forwards and backs seamlessly, despite some injuries and illnesses. The forwards were as strong as ever, dominating the scrum in particular. The backs played well and showed off their skill, allowing the back three of Oscar Wiking, Will MacKean and Joshua Gawman to slice open the defence. After an unfortunate early injury to Max Hanshaw, RBCS had to quickly reshuffle and Adam Wright made the transition from flanker to centre with ease. It wasn’t just left to the backs to show off their running skills, the forwards also demonstrated some strong and powerful running, highlights from Jamie Ashford, Barney Thompson and Harvey Roper to name a few.

St George’s were able to regroup at half time and started to put some good phases of play together, which tested RBCS’ defence. The boys managed to keep their composure and continue to play their rugby, which allowed them to continue to keep the upper hand and able Joshua Gawman to get his hat-trick.

Overall another outstanding game of rugby from the U13 B team, who are quite possibly the best U13 B team that RBCS has ever seen. Long may they continue to develop as a squad as well as individuals and I hope that many of them will continue to push for positions in the A teams in the next few years.
