Match Report
Reading Blue Coat School U15A vs  Reading School
On: Saturday, 22 Nov 2014
Venue: Away

The first half display today was the best the boys have played this season, and they did it at the right time against local rivals Reading School. The backs were looking dangerous at all times benefiting from quick clean ball created by the forwards at the breakdown. Jamie Henson and the forwards were making powerful runs- sucking in players and generating space for our backs. This meant that we were able to amass 41 points in the first half- tries being scored by Matt Herbert, Jamie Henson, Paddy Spiers, James Rogers and a first half hat trick from Mike Green.

The second half was a little frustrating- The cattle pasture that we were playing on had taken a lot of the energy from the boys legs, and we also dropped balls from misplaced passes too frequently. Saying that Reading School undoubtedly upped their game and displayed a lot more fight making it hard for us to retain possession. Towards the end of the game we eventually got back into our rhythm and Ewan Morgan scored with James Rogers adding to his first half try. Will Dexter finished off with his 4th conversion over a set of very wonky posts.

I hope the boys can take the momentum from this game into the Wellington College and St Georges matches this week.

Man of the match- Jamie Henson
