U15A Match Report- Windsor Boys- 5 - 34 RBCS

Try Scorers- Adam Willis-Bradshaw, Henry Heath, Matt Herbert, Joe Thompson, James Rogers (2)

Cons- Will Dexter (2)

Against a strong Windsor boys side who had beaten some impressive teams this year- we knew we were in for a game.

The first half of the game was probably our best rugby all season. Quick ball meant that we were consistently stretching their defence- and our execution was excellent. With Adam Willis-Bradshaw going over from close range, and both Henry Heath and Matthew Herbert finishing excellent moves with impressive support play and offloading throughout the move- both real "team" tries. Joe Thompson took advantage of poor control at the back of the Windsor scrum- pouncing on the ball over the try line after a mix up between their No. 8 and Scrum half. This gave us an impressive 24-5 HT lead.

Windsor Boys came back well in the second half. They played to their strengths and repeatedly took it through the forwards attacking the fringes of the breakdown. Our defence was resilient and we soon hit them on the counter attack with James Rogers stepping 2/3 men to go in under the posts for a superb individual play.

RBCS were then to score an opportunistic try. Paddy Spiers clearing with a lovely spiral kick, only for it to stay in play- bounce perfectly- looping up and landing in the arms of a charging James Rogers- who ran it in from the half way line.

Stuart Boyd was man of the match- He won 4 Windsor lineouts, put in huge tackles and stole ball all day.
