RBCS U15 A- 24 - 10 Halliford U15A

Try Scorers- Jamie Henson, Joe Thompson, Alex Leach x 2

Conversions- Will Dexter x 2

In a stop start game RBCS struggled to impose themselves against an improved Halliford side. We started the game well dominating the set piece and playing it through the forwards well. After 4 phases of attacking the fringes of the break down- Jamie Henson powered through to score our first try. Soon after our forceful pack repeated this and Joe Thompson was rewarded with a deserved try. Will Dexter converted both. We then experienced a frustrating stage of the game. We fell off tackles too easily and kept making handling errors giving too much possession to a wounded Halliford team. Their inside centre was a good runner and kept attracting our defensive players, and Halliford eventually scored from a resulting overlap.

The second half started in the same vein and RBCS could not just find their rhythm. Eventually the team's class shone through- with Alex Leach finishing off two well worked moves.

With CLF next week, improvement is definitely needed- with handling and tackling being the priorities. The boys have the potential to cause a real upset next week and are looking forward to our first home game.
