Match Report
King's School Bruton Boys-U15A vs  Clayesmore School
On: Saturday, 15 Sep 2018
Venue: at Home

The fixture took on an unusual format as Clayesmore brought over two teams and we played a triangular tournament with them both.

In the first game the U15’s started well and managed to put a good sequence of phases early on with Javdat Muminov eventually scoring in the corner. Clayesmore applied some pressure in the second half but the pick and drive of King’s was too much for them with Javdat scoring once again. It was a highly combative game which saw four King’s players permanently withdraw to the touch line. King’s won 10-0.

The second game was a well contested match between the two Clayesmore sides. In the last game, with the U15’s reduced to thirteen players, the team put on a brave attempt but the Clayesmore team was just too strong winning 26-0.

Highlights were the sheer will and determination of Murray Hendrie to contest the breakdown and be a permanent thorn in the side of the opposition. Javdat’s tries and bravery and also special mention to Oliver Mepham for his gutsy tackling out on the wing on his debut. Well done to all involved and we look forward to the rematch later in the term.

Man of the matches- Murray Hendrie.
