The game drives at the Hluhluwe Park were fantastic. Upon arrival at the camp we went straight out on a drive and were able to see rhinos, giraffes, buffalos and even a pride of lions.

On Friday morning we got up nice and early, setting off on another game drive at 6am. It was a brilliant way to start the day and the sun came up as we were out on the drive. Highlights of this drive were passing some zebras just inches from our cars and finally tracking down an elephant - which mock-charged us, causing us to quickly retreat. Midway through the drive we stopped at an elevated spot and enjoyed coffee and rusks and spent time taking in the breathtaking views.

On Friday afternoon boys spent time by the pool and relaxing in their lodges.

Our final drive came on Friday afternoon. Again we were treated to buffalos, giraffes and rhinos but sadly no elephants or lions this time. We finished off our time at Hluhluwe with a braai on Friday night before setting off early in the morning for Durban for our flight to Cape Town.
