Match Report
King's College, Taunton U14A XV vs  Colston's School
On: Saturday, 30 Sep 2017
Venue: Away

It was never going to be an easy game against Colstons but the King's players showed how far they have come in only 3 weeks. King's started well but were under pressure for the first 10 minutes from a strong Colstons side. Oliver Baines was once again strong at Fullback with a fantastic tackle 5 yards from the try line. Two early tries from the opposition did not deter King's from ensuring they played some good attacking rugby. Ryan Cubbin, Oliver Wrelton and Will Serrell- Cooke ensured the breakdown was competitive, managing to turn over the opposition ball a number of occasions. A counter attack by the home side caught King's unaware which led to another try before halftime.

The commitment and flowing rugby showed in the first half continued into the second with a moral boosting interception try from George Thomas, successfully converted by Charlie Sharland. Harry Bishop and Dominic Frampton were strong in the front row ensuring Ben Davies has clean ball at the back of the scrum. Ollie Dummett played well at flyhalf coming on for an injured Ollie Drummond, ensuring accurate and quick ball to the centres. Timothy Roberts, a new addition to the side this week tackled well and was quick when counterattacking. A couple of late tries from Colstons wrapped up what was an impressive performance by King's to give a flattering score line to the opposition. Final score 39-7

Man of the match- Ryan Cubbin for excellent commitment throughout.
