Match Report
King's College, Taunton U15A XV vs  Blundell's School
On: Saturday, 23 Sep 2017
Venue: at Home

The U15As withstood a tough test today against a fast and aggressive Blundell's defence yet managed a third successive win and yet again improved the margin of victory when compared to last season's result.

Kings's started on the front foot, regularly gaining ground and turning over the ball at every defensive opportunity before Billy Turner went over for the first try off the back of another successful line-out move.

King' continued to press hard yet couldn't convert numerous opportunities to get over the try line until another well worked line-out allowed Will Hall to cross the line. This was swiftly followed by a try with quick hands from both Smeed and Spurr allowing Larkin to make it 19-0. A late first half try from Blundell's made it 19-5 at the break and gave King's something to think about.

The second half started with Blundell's coming out of the blocks and scoring early to make the difference just seven yet Kings responded superbly with consistently well executed forward play, and good use of Harry Blakey's boot forcing Blundell's onto the back foot. The continued pressure eventually led to further tries in a performance that King's can learn many lessons from.

Another superb performance and a lot of character shown, especially considering the squad was affected by pre-match injuries.

Final score 40-12

MOM - Will Hall as part of an outstanding forwards performance.
