SOCS sport overview

SOCS sport helps staff manage sport efficiently and communicate with players and parents more effectively.

SOCS sport comes complete with a comprehensive toolkit as well as a dedicated sports website with domain name to use in signature blocks, emails, newsletters and in social networks such as Twitter and FaceBook. Frequent use of these communication channels ensures a higher ranking in search engines such as Google and Bing and a much greater presence on the Internet for your sport.

Save Time

Arranging fixtures and uploading results, news and match reports from the SOCS sport control panel and communicating with players and parents via the sports website is a breeze and can even be done on mobile devices when spectating or in the bus when returning home with your teams.

You can also see your opponent’s prowess or tweet fixtures and results in an instant and you have access to features such as the Fixture Request module, which is great for filling gaps in your sports calendar, as well as Team Kit Builder to show off your team’s latest kit and school colours.

Make it Your Own

SOCS sport also provides additional modules to extend the functionality provided by the standard package. These are the Team Sheet Builder, Team Training Planner, Big Screen and Competition Builder modules. There is also an optional Security module, which adds password proctection to your team sheets.

You can also customize the standard sports website that comes with SOCS sport to align it with the style, colours and branding of your school’s website to make it your own. Perfect!

Upload Once

Using the upload once philosophy, information is made freely available in multiple places in addition to your sports website, such as our Sport Portals, Competition Microsites  or in the SchoolsSports.com calendar (see below) or on the optional Big Screen.

All this helps to “spread the word”, keep everyone up-to-date with what’s on where and when, whilst reducing player and parental enquiries and reaching a wider audience than any school website or single communications channel can alone!

Team Sheet Builder

With the Team Sheet Builder module you won't need to write or type a team sheet ever again!

Team Sheet Builder provides additional functionality, such as pupil participation statistics, which is useful for end-of-term and year reports and a sports programme to provide on one page a complete editable overview of what's on. You also get multi-team sheet editor, which provides drag and drop so that you can shuffle players from team-to-team, catering for those late breaking team changes and there is an optional security module if you need team sheet password protection.

Team Training Planner

Team Training Planner provides another powerful tool to help plan and schedule training sessions as well as keeping players who should attend informed about timings and locations. Training sessions can be setup quickly and made to recur.  For instance you might have a training session every Tuesday and Thursday at 4pm. Using Team Training Planner your training sessions will appear in the sports calendar helping to remind attendees. Single training sessions can also be setup to cater for adhoc sessions in the event of match cancellations.

Big Screen

Designed for large screen displays in sports halls, corridors and reception areas, the Big Screen module includes features such as the upcoming sports programme, today’s teams, latest results and news. 

Everything is powered from your SOCS control panel and any change you make there will be visible on your Big Screens.

Competition Microsites

With our Competition Microsite service you can have a great focal point for your competition.

Once the Competition Microsite has been created you can use the Competition Builder module in your SOCS control panel to manage the competition by uploading fixture changes, results, news, action photos and important documents, such as the rules, the competition format or competition entry forms.
