Match Report
Berkhamsted School Boys-U15A vs  King's College School (KCS), Wimbledon
On: Saturday, 28 Sep 2013
Venue: Away

It was a tough afternoon in the office for the boys away at KCS shadowed by the fact that we lost Harris with what looked to be a serious injury half way through the second half. They were a bigger and stronger team who had an outstanding outside center. He showed the ability to control the game, continually running with pace, power and intelligence scoring three times and setting up most of the others.

There were however plenty of positives to take from the game. The pack were unbeaten in the scrum and turned over the KCS scrum numerous times. It was also clear we had improved at the break down with dynamic rucking and ball presentation which allowed for good quick ball for the backs. It was this that built the platform for our try when Simmonds spotted space behind their defensive line. A well weighted kick was collected by Butt who clattered through the last man to score a well executed try.

The boys played with passion from beginning through to the end as always, putting their bodies on the line and never giving up. Unfortunately this wasn’t enough on this outing however, it is important we learn to perform under greater pressure from the better teams.
