Match Report
Berkhamsted School 3rd XV vs  Haileybury School Boys-U18D
On: Saturday, 22 Sep 2012
Venue: at Home

This hastily arranged fixture against Haileybury 4th XI was a step into the unknown as the two schools had not played each other for many years. Berkhamsted were full of confidence after their convincing win over St Albans and this showed from the first whistle with Hugo Leach powering over the try line after only 3 minutes of play. More was to follow from the home with Gaunt picking the ball up on the half way line and proceeded to run straight over 3 defenders to score an excellent try under the posts. Nathan Jenkins then got the afterburners on to score his 2nd consecutive hat-trick of the season, his pace and power are truly spectacular when he is given the space to run.

45-0 up at the break was no less than the home side deserved, the second half continued in very similar fashion with Harvey 2, Linden, Hurd and Maciver all scoring try’s. This was a wonderfully polished performance from all 18 men used and sets us up very well for the toughest game of the season against KCS next weekend.

Tries: Jenkins (3), Harvey (2), Gaunt, Hurd, Linden, Maciver, Leach
Conversions: Harvey (6)
