Match Report
Berkhamsted School Boys-U14B vs  St Paul's School, Barnes
On: Saturday, 10 Dec 2011
Venue: at Home

A well-drilled St. Pauls arrived at a bright but chilly Chesham fields where the U14Bs looked to double their win-loss ratio in the final game of the season. Berkhamsted started much the brighter team thanks to some direct running from George Fearne and Daniel Sitwell a knock-on close to the line allowed St. Pauls to gather their troops, settle into their patterns of play and secure some much needed possession. Excellent support running and clinical rucking juxtaposed with some half-hearted tackling from Berkhamsted resulted in three quick scores for the away team. Berkhamsted, however, did not allow their heads to drop and gallantly worked their way back into the match and Daniel Sitwell scored under the posts to set up a thrilling second half.

Sniping runs from Rupert Trusselle kept the St. Pauls defence on their toes in the second half, but their superiority in size and general nous around the park ultimately allowed them to run out easy winners. It was a pleasing end to the season and Berkhamsted U14Bs should be congratulated for their efforts this term.
