Colfes senior rugby squad were put through their paces last week. Rohaan Nirmalendran from Nike Athletic Training visited the school to carry out SPARQ testing. This is a series of rugby specific tests devised by Nike to assess the athletic ability of rugby players.

The players underwent 5 tests assessing their speed, strength, agility, power and endurance. A competitive spirit was on display throughout the testing with prizes on offer for the best performances in each test. These went to Alex Graham, Alex Verrissimo, Will Grist, Elliot Roofe and Max Collett.

Notable mention must go to Will Grist who scored the highest rating ever recorded on the power test. Considering previous participants include the England sevens team this is a hugely impressive achievement.
