Welcome to the National Schools Rugby Competitions

From here you can see the draw, fixtures and results for the 2019/20 competition, which gets underway in September 2019. You can also keep track of progress through the regional knockout and final knockout stages.

To find your school this season, or to see your school's playing record in the competition, go to Find Your School from the menu above.

The U15 Cup competition started in 1987 followed by the U18 Cup & Vase in 1990 and the U15 Vase in 2003.  The U18 and U15 Vase catered for teams losing in Round 1 or 2 of the Cup. All competitions were sponsored every year by The Daily Mail until 2013. For 2017 the competition has been restructured into tiers as follows:

Under 18:

  • Tier 1 - Champions Trophy (32 teams)
  • Tier 2 - Cup (128 teams)
  • Tier 3 - Plate (Round 1 Cup losers - 64 teams)
  • Tier 4 - Vase (256 teams)
  • Tier 5 - Bowl (Round 1 Vase losers - 128 teams)

Under 15:

  • Tier 1 - Cup (256 teams)
  • Tier 2 - Plate (Round 1 Cup losers - 128 teams)
  • Tier 3 - Vase (256 teams)
  • Tier 4 - Bowl (Round 1 Vase losers - 128 teams)

Every final result since the start of each competition and every result from 1999 to date can be found in the Archive from the menu above.

The archive currently contains 59,193 fixtures featuring 27,732 teams from 1,532 schools over 33 seasons.

When the draw is announced and if your School uses SOCS sport, you will see the competition's fixtures listed in your School's dedicated sports website, with start times, location maps and the results as they happen. The results will automatically appear as the competition progresses and the School can also upload reports and points scorers as well as your team's colours using Team Kit Builder.

This page is already connected with the Schools' Rugby Website and the sports website of every school using SOCS sport, helping to keep everyone informed and up-to-date as the competition progresses.
