King's College, Taunton 3rd XV vs  Blundell's School
On: Saturday, 23 Sep 2017
Venue: Away

In the Third XV’s first contested match in a number of years, there were a lot of positives to be drawn from the matchup against Blundell’s. Against a more experienced side, there was a lot of strength on show from the King’s boys, particularly in defence which made up a large portion of the game. However, there were also a number of standout performances: Harry Dray scoring off a penalty while the opposition were unaware, Carl Tsang making a number of line breaks which resulted in a try and finally a number of non-rugby players stepping up for their team, notably Osman Chan and Rudi Smith. Considering the size and strength of the opposition, it was a very admirable game which was made easier by Mr Heayns’ incentivizing with Jelly Babies.

Try scorers: Harry Dray, Carl Tsang, and Oscar Willis

Man of the Match: Henri Willmott for making a number of strong positions whilst adapting to a position he was not used to.
