King's College, Taunton Girls- 1's vs  Blundell's School
On: Wednesday, 27 Sep 2017
Venue: at Home

Lost 0-7

Player of the match: Flora Keeling for her continuous running and tackling as well as her ability to support further forward.

This was the first run out for the King's U18s against a strong Blundell's team and it took the first half to really settle into any pattern. Unfortunately this was not the case for Blundell's who capitalised on the decisions made by King's to take a healthy 0-4 lead but King's did work hard throughout with Loveday Hedgecock making some good saves and captain Beth Barzotelli dominate when on the ball. Flora Keeling controlled the middle of the park by hassling constantly and Emily Knill put in some perfectly timed tackles.

The second half King's settled and had much more of the possession with the outletting from the back much more concise with a good partnership of Eliza Chapple and Emily Knill. This enabled King's to progress through the pitch and create more opportunities further forward with Millie Spurr hitting the post and Beth Barzotelli have a few chances due to the increased width and height plus tine on the ball.

Milly Frankis and Honor Mead came in worked exceptionally hard and did a good job in all the roles asked for them!
