The first match of the season saw the King's team travel up to Bristol Grammar School. A clear journey got the team there in plenty of time to stretch and warm up.

First up were 1st, 3rd and 5th seeds James, Finlay and George. James comfortably won his match in 3 games, where Finlay struggled to find his tempo in his first two games, hitting back to get the win. George lost his second game but came back to winning ways.

2nd and 4th seeds Alvin and Sam both won their matches, knowing that some pressure had been lifted by their team mates victories.
