Match Report
King's College, Taunton Girls- 4's vs  Blundell's School
On: Saturday, 07 Oct 2017
Venue: Away

Playing with a squad of only 11, due to players' absences and a mini-minibus to Tiverton, King's were always going to find this difficult on a warm day; the 5-0 result reflected a respectable performance. Given the passing game that Blundell's constructed, they could have looked an even stronger opposition, but King's showed some determination and improvement in the game, generally adapting well to new positions. Nevertheless we conceded goals, and were 3-0 down at half time. On occasion we did have possession, but pass-completion wasn't great and our attacking runs always felt a little half-hearted. Highlights of the second half included Erin Lyall's interventions in defence, and Cassidy Chau tussling for the ball with her Blundell's opposite number for about 30 metres, before eventually winning possession and clearing. Such determination to win the ball will be crucial in future improvements. Player of the match, for her all-round contributions in midfield, Christa Arliss.
