Match Report
King's College, Taunton Girls-U15A vs  Bristol Grammar School
On: Thursday, 07 Sep 2017
Venue: Away

After three days intensive after-school training sessions, King's U15A team travelled to play BGS for their first fixture of the season.

The game began after a very short warm up and the girls won the toss - allowing them to choose first pushback. Having only arrived, minutes before the whistle was blown, the girls were still (figuratively speaking) on the mini-bus and after an interception from a tenacious BGS player, they found themselves down by one goal in the first thirteen seconds.

However, in typical King's fashion the girls cam back fighting and maintained the score until half time. Notable first-half performances from Millie Frankis and Lottie Hanrahan.

The second-half began with a greater sense of strength and unity for the King's team; the the girls pushed, unrelentingly, into the BGS defensive half and forced them to concede multiple short-corners. King's Honor Mead, on the second attempt, scored from a fantastic left slip and leveled the game.

It was an impressive first performance and undoubtedly these girls will go from strength to strength. Well done, girls.
