Match Report
King's College, Taunton U14A XV vs  Downside School
On: Saturday, 14 Oct 2017
Venue: at Home

Within the first 3 minutes of play George Thomas scored his first try in the corner. His second came a fantastic individual try running from his own half chipping the full back to score under the posts, which was ably kicked by Charlie Sharland. Downside were disruptive and didn’t allow King’s the continuity of play experienced the week before against Bristol Grammar School. Charlie Sharland scored two tries within quick succession overpowering the opposition on both occasions. Oliver Baines continued to be solid in defence, with a number of try saving tackles.

Downside came back after halftime after being quite disruptive in the first half, scoring a try in the corner. King’s were not downbeat and better continuity in the third quarter allowed Oliver Dummett to release Timothy Roberts on the wing who showed great footwork to cut back against the defence to score under the posts. Matthew Osborne closed proceedings with a well worked darting try in the corner, his first for the A team. Final score 31-5
