Match Report
King's College, Taunton U16A XV vs  Downside School
On: Saturday, 14 Oct 2017
Venue: at Home

The boys finally hit their straps this weekend. Playing a quality opposition who were ferocious in defence, the boys sent in wave after wave of attack during the first 30 minutes. The opposition only ventured into the King’s half twice. Despite this we were only three try’s up at the break. During half-time we agreed to change nothing other than increase the tempo even further to make use of the boys improving fitness. Soon the opposition simply ran out of defenders and the points followed soon after. Milo Blakey was on target with the boot (7/8 conversions). Captain fantastic James White was back to his barnstorming best and causing issues all over the field. Dan Potter and George Small cleared out countless rucks and had tackle counts well into the double figures. Lincoln Heng came of age with three big carries and a turn over. A highlight was the return of young Smeed with a fantastic 30 minutes on the wing including best try of the season so far. Overall a good days work. Fitness proved to be the key difference between the sides.
