Match Report
King's College, Taunton U14B XV vs  Bristol Grammar School
On: Saturday, 07 Oct 2017
Venue: at Home

King’s opted to kick off the first half, and unfortunately after some slightly misshaped defensive lines, allowed BGS to score the opening try within the first 5 minutes. This proved to be the wake up call the boys needed. King’s spent most of the first half then attacking and though there were some wonderful passages of ball carrying and passes, small mistakes kept the score line into halftime at 0-7.

The King’s boys came out ‘all guns blazing’ in the second half, and after receiving the kick off, soon saw Cameron Collins crossing the try line. A missed conversion kick kept King’s behind for now. Both defence and offense clicked for the boys as they successfully turned over rucks, and supported each other’s runs. The floodgates opened and saw Josh Leudicke score and convert, followed by a charge through the BGS defence from Sam Geddes (both converted by Leudicke). A shaky ending almost saw BGS gain a consolation try but fortunately a bounce of the egg saw the ball into touch.
