Match Report
King's College, Taunton U14B XV vs  Colston's School
On: Saturday, 30 Sep 2017
Venue: Away

Kings travelled to Colstons knowing a sterner test was likely following two comfortable wins and they certainly got it with a slow start allowing Colstons to race ahead to a two try lead. After a stern word under the posts Kings organised there were some structure and started to apply some pressure. This lead to a sustained period in Colstons half where Kings got a try back through Sam Geddes although they then conceded another to head into half time 15-5 behind. The second half saw Kings start fast and got two tries through some hard and direct running. With the scores levelled the game broke up and got very loose and scrappy although a bit more pressure led to a fourth try converted by Jo Seymour to put Kings 7 points clear. Kings held on through a fraught final five minutes nearly giving the game away but some try saving cover tackles from Will Hopkins kept the lead. The boys fought back magnificently which shows a lot about their character that will stand them well for the rest of the season. Sam Geddes was voted man of the match for his ball carrying and defensive efforts.
