Match Report
King's College, Taunton U16A XV vs  Colston's School
On: Saturday, 30 Sep 2017
Venue: Away

The U16s produced an excellent team performance against Colston’s, winning the match 50-19. After absorbing some early pressure from the opposition, and defending their own try line, a quick turnover by Joe Messenger sent Thomas Flavin running the length of the pitch for the first try. King’s were then ruthless in attack, running aggressively and keeping the ball alive with some impressive handling, scoring 4 more tries in quick succession (try scorers – Milo Blakey, Joss West, Joe Messenger, Ben Luxton). Despite some strong defensive work from the Colston’s team, in the second half King’s continued to play exciting and expansive rugby, putting into motion everything they had worked on in the week. Highlight of the second half was a solo try for Joe messenger who claimed the ball from a hanging Joss West kick off before running through the entire defensive line. There were also tries for Will Brooke-Webb and Tom Hall. All in all a fantastic, entertaining match, and a great win for the team. Man of the Match – Joe Messenger.
