Match Report
King's College, Taunton U15A XV vs  Colston's School
On: Saturday, 30 Sep 2017
Venue: at Home

The U15As continue to impress and develop week by week and today showed how much determination and desire they have to keep on winning.

After starting on the front foot, King's soon found themselves 5-0 down after a few too many handling errors relieved the pressure being put on the Colstons defence. Yet they were quick to respond via a Connor Morrall try making it 5-5 after 15 minutes.

After taking a blow to the head Henry Smeed had to leave the field of play and joined Harry Blakey and Joss Chippendale on the injured list. However this allowed Alex Dalton and Charlie Spurr to form a new 9&10 and they settled into the role quickly setting up numerous attacks whilst the forwards yet again secured possession at the breakdown time after time.

This continued pressure eventually led to another try scoring opportunity when Tommy Richardson-Jones bundled over to make it 10-5 at the break.

The second half was a display of monumental courage with try saving tackles, crunching hits, notably from Joe Wark, sprinting when there was nothing left in the legs, and sheer desire to get over the line. King's had numerous opportunities to increase the margin of victory but also had to battle very hard to ensure the bigger Colston's squad did not breakdown a resolute defensive line.

A great spectacle for the neutral but a rather nervous watch for the coach and parents!

Final score 10-5 to continue to unbeaten run.
