Match Report
King's College, Taunton 1st XV vs  Colston's School
On: Saturday, 30 Sep 2017
Venue: at Home

Kings 1st XV entered their fixture with Colstons with optimism having won their cup game in midweek. A brisk start saw them attack with variety and land an early penalty to take the lead. Colstons hit back with two tries to take the advantage. A tight 1st half ended with a leg injury for Jack Mead, who had tackled with relentless energy.

The 2nd half started well for Kings, scoring a try and enjoying some territory. A missed penalty denied Kings the lead. With the scores close, it would take a significant moment to split the teams and it came to Colstons, whose powerful winger broke 3 tackles to give his side momentum. 2 further tries followed to leave Kings looking dejected. To their credit, the boys fought back with two tries of their own, which left a feeling of what might have been if that intensity had been maintained throughout the match.
