Match Report
King's College, Taunton U14A XV vs  Taunton School
On: Saturday, 09 Sep 2017
Venue: Away

This was a wonderful run out for both schools and enabled us to play 50 boys in different positions across three different teams.

Three shortened games against Taunton provided a great insight into the new Third Form rugby players. The first game started well with Kings retaining most of the ball in the 15min match. Ben Davies worked well at scrum half providing quick ball to Ollie Drummond. Charlie Sharland commanded the back line well with many nice attacking runs, ably supported by George Thomas. A slip in defence late in the game allowed Taunton to score a try and win the opening game.

A number of changes in the second game allowed others to get a run out. Sam Geddes and Jack Ker worked well on the flank Once again a late charging run by Taunton and a slipped tackle allows them to take the second game. Horrendous rain shower made handling difficult.

The final game ensured all had had a good run out. Joe Eakhurst ran hard on the win with Harry Bishop performing his duties well at 8. We look forward to meeting Taunton in the full version of the game later on in the term.
