Match Report
King's College, Taunton 1st XV vs  Blundell's School
On: Saturday, 23 Sep 2017
Venue: Away

A chastening loss for the Kings 1st XV away to Blundells. The tone of the match was set from the kickoff, when Kings conceded possession too easily and were a try down within minutes. Credit to the powerful Blundells outfit who dominated the match and grew in confidence to play an expansive offloading game. Kings enjoyed a passage of territory and pressure late in the first half, but lost possession metres from the opposition line. Kings performed better in the second half to put some attacking phases together, but could not capitalise on their chances and found themselves conceding some long-range tries by Blundells. This game was a lesson in athleticism and precision, although the players showed plenty of tenacity in defence. All will learn from the experience.
