Match Report
King's College, Taunton U16A XV vs  Blundell's School
On: Saturday, 23 Sep 2017
Venue: at Home

A first loss of the season against a good Blundell's side, in a game that we never really got into. We started brilliantly with a try in the first 2 minutes from Tom Flavin which settled the nerves, however, Blundell's replied instantly from an interception pass. Loss of structure in both defence and attack led to two more tries. Highlight of the half was a weaving run from Ben James which gained valuable yards.

The second half started in similar fashion with a try from the restart from Joe Messenger. However, we again lacked structure, which caused us to be very frenetic with the ball in hand and not make the most of the possession we had. Highlights in the second half were the ferocious tackling and rucking from Will Richmond and Ali Ramsden. Some great ball carrying from Ben James and Joe Messenger showed we were capable of competing. A try in the last play from Joss West took the final score to 37-17. A lot of positives can be taken into Colston's next week. By James White.
