Match Report
King's College, Taunton U14B XV vs  Prior Park College
On: Saturday, 16 Sep 2017
Venue: Away

The U14B team kicked off their campaign with an away fixture against Prior Park. The first half started off with Kings able to apply consistant pressure on the opposition despite a total inability to win any ruck ball. Pressure eventually told and Tim Roberts crashed over for a try, on the restart Kings again pressurised Prior Park and camped in opposition territory for the remainder of the first half. Kings inability to win any of their own ruck ball ment that they could not string together any meaningful phases of possession and were relying on scraps. With focused minds in the second half Kings gradually managed to secure their own possession and the build up of phases started to tell on the opposition. Tim Roberts, Sam Bedded and Jack Ker all managed to crash over as pressure intensified. The final quarter saw the game open up and become looser which enabled arch poacher Mickey Spiers to cross for a well earnt hat trick. Kings have a lot to work on before Blundells next week but should be proud of a strong start to the season. Tim Roberts was voted man of the match by his team mates.
