Match Report
King's College, Taunton U15A XV vs  Prior Park College
On: Saturday, 16 Sep 2017
Venue: Away

King's U15A got their season off to a flying start by beating Prior Park 53 - 0 on a narrow pitch that had every inch covered in a splendid performance.

Harry Blakey at 9, controlled the game superbly from the start commanding his forwards with Henry Smeed, which led to the first try through Ethan Jordaan via an excellent display of "pick and go" near the try line.

Then it was the turn of the backs to display the flair that has been demonstrated in training when a well executed set piece, from King's first line-out, set up Billy Turner to run untouched through the Prior defence to score under the posts; his first of 3.

This turned out to be the pattern of the game with forwards dominating the breakdown creating numerous opportunities for a skilful back line to execute their plans. Hugo Larkin was again unstoppable when at full speed but also showed his ability to steal ball at the breakdown whilst Will Tothill linked clinically with his inside and outside man throughout.

There were numerous outstanding performances but Will Hall and Connor Morrall were disruptive all afternoon, whilst Charlie Spurr displayed reliable and fast hands with Sonny Baker providing cover in defence and a reliable boot when converting 4/5 of his kicks.
