Match Report
King's College, Taunton Girls- 1's vs  Sherborne Girls
On: Saturday, 14 Oct 2017
Venue: at Home

This was an 11 goal thriller against Sherborne. King's started brightly and moved the ball around well. This made it difficult for Sherborne to maintain any possession and gain any momentum. King's managed to build up a 4-1 lead at half time. Anna Crocker demonstrated some great eliminations from left half back, Lucy Buckley always got to the ball first and Ellie Clist showed her hard work paying off in dominating every contest that she was in.

The second half saw Sherborne return with renewed vigour. They managed to increase the intensity of their play and with it gained the momentum. Before we knew it the scores were tied at 5-5. But at this point we dug deep and increased the intensity of our play, we started to move the ball around more again, using the right to good effect. Phoebe Cooper Simpson, Jess White and Flo Keeling managed to dominate the direction of play from the middle and Beth Barzotelli grasped her moment to drive from the midfield with the ball and score a fantastic solo goal.

A great team performance that demonstrated the importance of hard work and working for each other. Well done girls!

Player of the match Ellie Clist for making some crucial and well timed tackles.
