Mount St Mary's College

Mount St Mary’s College is a co-educational boarding and day school for pupils aged 11-18. The school places great emphasis on extra-curricular activities, whilst achieving excellent results in GCSEs and A-Levels every year.

Sport is a fundamental part of the school with a full afternoon of games and further periods of sport throughout the school week as well as sports options for extra-curricular activities after school and on Saturdays.

The school boasts 8 Rugby pitches, 6 Tennis courts, 5 Netball Courts, 3 Cricket Squares, 2 Football pitches, 2 Gymnasiums, 2 Grass Hockey pitches, an indoor swimming pool, Fitness Suite, an Astroturf, a Rifle Range and a Grade 1 registered Athletics Track. With extensive and outstanding facilities, pupils have every opportunity to develop in the sporting arena.

The school offers scholarships to candidates at the main entry levels: 11+, 13+ and Sixth Form. Scholarships are awarded on merit alone in the fields of academic, music, art or sporting excellence, as well as an "all round" combination of some or all of these.

A number of scholarships are made to candidates of promise and potential in the area of sport. Sports scholarship candidates are assed in the field by a member of our Games Department in conjunction with a taster day and general academic scholarship paper.
